IACCUSA Charitable Foundation - Tsunami Relief Effort

The Following Organizations That Have Local Affiliations Are Active In the Relief Efforts:

BAPS Care

BAPS Care International is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization having more than 9000 centers around the world. Thanks to an all volunteer force, 100% of donations go towards relief efforts. BAPS Care International has launched immediate relief efforts in the stricken zone.

BAPS Care volunteers have set up food kitchens to cook and distribute hot food to victims in the towns of Pattikulaakupam, Fulerikadu, Katukupam, Lemelikupam, Terura, and New Kalpakam in the vicinity of Chennai (formerly known as Madras).

Robin Raina Foundation

Every dollar donated to the Robin Raina Foundation (RRF) will become $3 RRF will also contribute up to $20,000 from its own funds, by matching an additional two dollars for every dollar donated to the foundation, towards these relief efforts. This would mean that a dollar of donation from a donor would get converted to a $3 donation.

RRF will donate all proceeds to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund in India, towards providing both immediate and long-term solutions for the families and survivors of the Tsunamis.

The National Federation of Indian American Associations, NFIA, will be sending donations collected by NFIA to International Red Cross to help the victims of this tragedy. NFIA Board has already approved an amount of $10,000 as NFIA's own contribution for the Earthquake Relief Fund.

Appeals to help people of coastal Southern India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia devastated by Tsunami.

Sewa International in association with local organizations is planning to work for the rehabilitation of affected families including,. Medical services. Distribution of fishing nets, assistance for purchasing and repairing fiber boats. Repair of diesel engines and supply fuel.
Distribution of textbooks, notebooks and uniforms to students.. Construction of houses.. Repair and construction of community infrastructure.
